The "J" clip is designed for safe installation of ceramic roof tiles. It can be used for most models of ceramic roof tiles from various manufacturers and is the most popular clip for mounting ceramic roof tiles. It is designed for mounting on battens with a thickness of 40 mm ("40" type) or 50 mm ("50" type).

The clip is made of galvanized steel wire in the shape of the letter "J". It is mounted by hooking one side onto the side lock of the roof tile, or both the side and top locks, and the other side onto the batten.
